Marie-Eve Presseau

General Manager

Marie-Eve holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration specializing in marketing. She is responsible for managing Mont X’s global strategy and fundraising initiatives. Her extensive management skills and project management accreditation allow her to handle complex projects effectively.

As an entrepreneur, Marie-Eve owned and operated a restaurant in Revelstoke, British Columbia, where she served as the general manager. She continued her career in Western Canada, working for the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce. This experience allowed her to gain valuable business world guidance and insights in a region where tourism and sports are central to the local identity.

Marie-Eve’s professional and personal life has been shaped by her passion for sports and the outdoors. She has worked in resorts for nearly two decades, including Lake Louise and Alberta in Canada, Revelstoke in British Columbia, and Mont-Tremblant. Marie-Eve is not limited to any specific sport; she is a versatile sports enthusiast who is always eager to try new activities.

Quentin Balmana

Program Coordinator

With a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Quentin specialized during his studies in innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development.
Thus, he has accumulated nearly three years of experience within territorial attractiveness organizations, business support organizations and start-ups in the startup phase.
Having worked on innovation-focused projects in both Quebec and France, he brings his expertise to the development of strategic and innovative projects. A passionate cyclist, skier, and outdoorsman, he enjoys exploring new sports and contributing to initiatives that combine sport, innovation, and regional development.
 

Simon Thomas

As part of the Canada Summer Jobs 2025 program, we are pleased to welcome Simon Thomas, a young CEGEP student passionate about entrepreneurship. A first-year Business Management student at the Mont-Tremblant College Centre, vice-president of his entrepreneurial club and co-founder of two companies, Simon is joining us for the summer season as marketing and communications coordinator.

Honorary Professor HEC Montréal

Pierre Hugron has worked in university management, teaching and research for over 35 years. Its teaching and research focus on business creation and SME administration.

He was involved in the creation of Inno-Centre, a key player in the economic development of innovative technology companies in Quebec for 30 years. He is Honorary Chairman of its Board of Directors.

For several years, he has been actively involved in the formulation of strategic sustainable development plans at both municipal and MRC des Laurentides levels.

A member of boards of directors of private companies and not-for-profit organizations, Mr. Hugron also acts as a management consultant in the private sector. He was the founder and head of the Entrepreneurship concentration in the Bachelor of Business Administration program at HEC. He is also founder and head of the Groupe de recherche sur les entreprises familiales (GREF) and founder and board member of the Club des Entrepreneurs HEC.

Vice President, Agri-Food at Inno-Centre

With over 25 years of experience in both multinationals and SMEs, Eric has held several leadership roles—including General Manager, Operations Manager, and Marketing and Sales Director. He is currently Vice President, Agri-Food at Inno-Centre, where he supports Canadian SMEs in their growth by providing advisory services and forging strategic partnerships.

A long-time resident of the Laurentians, Eric has an intimate knowledge of the region’s social and economic fabric and is distinguished by his commitment to the local community. A passionate outdoor enthusiast with a special attachment to Mont-Tremblant, he is eager to actively contribute to the region’s vitality and long-term sustainability.  

Driven by his expertise in partnerships, negotiation, and financing, Eric plays a key role in the growth and expansion of Mont X.

Louis-Martin Levac

Secretary

Director, Economic Development Department

Member of the Ordre des urbanistes du Québec, he holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from McGill University’s School of Urban Planning. In 2020, Louis-Martin Levac completed a microprogram in economic development at the Université de Sherbrooke, where he applies what he has learned to develop a diversified economy. He has been with the Ville de Mont-Tremblant for 23 years, and has held the positions of Planning and Geomatics Coordinator and Director of the Urban Planning Department. Since 2020, he has held the position of Director of the Economic Development Department, adopting a posture of innovation for the City in order to diversify the economy in a way that complements the territory’s DNA. He sits on the boards of Tourisme Mont-Tremblant, Tourisme aérien Laurentides and Mont X, of which he is a founding member.

William Lemay

With 10 years of business experience, William now has the opportunity to contribute to the development of Mont X. Drawing on his experience in tackling entrepreneurial challenges himself, he started his student initiative from scratch at the age of 17, working in the maintenance of outdoor wood surfaces.

Until the age of 24, he dedicated his time to growing this company while simultaneously completing his Bachelor of Science in Finance at the School of Management Sciences (ESG UQAM). William decided to leave his company to pursue a career in entrepreneurship, aligned with his interest in finance.

This choice led him to join Desjardins Entreprise in 2023 where he uses his expertise as an Account Manager for businesses in the commercial and industrial sector of the region.

Recognized for his expertise in entrepreneurship and his commitment to sustainable economic development, Guillaume brings an innovative vision and strategic ideas to all the projects he collaborates on. 

His motivation? To help create momentum and a strong sense of belonging around unifying projects that will have a significant impact on the development of sustainable entrepreneurship in Quebec. He believes Mont X is a prime example of this type of promising initiative.




Guillaume works as the General Manager of the MRC des Laurentides Economic Development Corporation. Holding a master’s degree in management – ​​entrepreneurship and innovation from HEC Montréal, he is also a lecturer in the university’s Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He was also a recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award, presented to a lecturer of the year at HEC Montréal.  

Having co-founded the company Give-a-Seat (from 2016 to 2020), he is passionate about the entrepreneurial process. Interested in the development of responsible entrepreneurs, he enjoys collaborating to build the Quebec entrepreneurial ecosystem of tomorrow.

A sports and outdoor enthusiast, Guillaume is also involved in tennis, notably for the National Bank Open and on the board of directors of Tennis Montreal.

President and Principal Partner of GPHC Capital

Guillaume Parent heads the private equity firm GPHC, which specializes in hotels and real estate investments. In 2021, GPHC acquired Le Westin Tremblant, including its ancillary operations.

Under his leadership, the establishment underwent a strategic transformation and repositioning, raising its caliber and appeal in order to consolidate Mont-Tremblant as a leading luxury destination.

Previously, Guillaume spent over 15 years as a Canadian diplomat, holding key positions in the United States, in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Atlanta, Denver, and Los Angeles. He played a significant role in negotiating various free trade agreements, represented Canada at the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, and worked to eliminate trade barriers to facilitate market access for Canadian businesses.  

As Chief of Staff to the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Americas, he provided leadership and strategic advice on Canada’s trade, administrative, and foreign policy priorities in the region. He also led foreign direct investment initiatives, attracting businesses and capital to Canada.

Originally from Quebec City, Guillaume is passionate about outdoor activities, exploring the world, and adventure travel. He is also a devoted father to his daughter, Lily-Ann.

Recently retired after 33 years at Mont-Tremblant resort, Françoise has acquired extensive expertise in management, leadership, and organization. She began her career in retail as a buyer, then as a manager, before moving into hospitality and customer service, where she successfully led significant restructuring efforts. A mountain lover and passionate about snow sports, she has lived in Mont-Tremblant for over 35 years. Her children grew up there and reached an elite level in sports, which she closely supported. Drawing on this experience, she is now involved in projects that promote the harmonious development of the region, particularly in the areas of sports and wellness.
